Ben and I had a fabulous time at Wicked last night. It was by far the best musical I've ever seen (except for Guys and Dolls, produced by Seneca High School and starring my dear friend, Tara). I'm not one to see things again and again (save a select group of movies and reruns of Gilmore Girls) but I would go see this again in a heartbeat. Ben surprised me with one of the most thoughtful gifts he's ever given me...
A copy of the Little Match Girl, one of my favorite Christmas movies and what caused me to first fall in love with this concept...
...which was another wish granted for last year's anniversary.
I have been looking for Rudy and friends on DVD for years but with no luck and my only copy was an old VHS in storage back in MO. Every time Christmas rolls by, I long for the so-familiar scenes and late 80's commercials that come with made for TV movies. Not having this tradition is akin to not listening to Christmas by Alabama, another Christmas must. So, being a good husband and observing my heart's desires, Ben dug through our storage shed while he was in MO last week and finally found the VHS, which he then had a friend convert to DVD. What a guy!
It's a great feeling...being loved. And getting to watch those McDonald's commericals from Christmas '87 is the icing on the cake!

I love that picture of yall. I can't wait to go see wicked myself--I want to go before I leave since it is right here. Also, I'm cracking up about that old christmas movie--I've never even heard of it. Tell Ben we're glad he is back.
