Oh if you leave...

I'm up to my ears in clerkship reports and internship applications, not to mention the fact that I'm so far behind on vacation blogs you'll have to settle for, "My friend went to Charlotte, NC; Napa, CA; and Las Vegas, NV; and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" (sans the t-shirt part) sentiment, BUT I simply had to take a moment to mourn the loss of a great artist: John Hughes. I know I'm a bit young to fully appreciate all that he did for movies and music, but thanks to older brothers, I've experienced him by proxy and am hard pressed to find any other filmmaker who has had quite the same influence on the soundtrack of our lives. Don't worry, John, we won't forget about you.
