This is Tara. She's a silly girl. Which is why we immediately became best friends in 3rd grade. Since then, we survived the nastiness that is jr. high, served as each other's anchors and wing(w0)man on the roller coaster that is high school, went our separate ways for college, got married within a few months of each other, and ended up out West together, she in Utah, me in California, where we see each other as often as layovers permit. And in just a few weeks she's going to have a BABY!
I was lucky enough to enjoy a quick little visit with her last week before Real Life began again. I know she's going to be a great mom, because she was a wonderful nurse to me as I tried to shake off the last bit of sickness I had. She's also a great host, because she planned the perfect visit for the two of us, including a light hike full of Kodak moments, tin foil dinners and smores in the canyon, homemade pizzas, trips to the Farmers' Market and movies, and a baby shower! It was such a gift to enjoy so much time together and to witness the sweet little family that Tara, Dan, and Jr. already are. Yay for friends, family, and babies! Blessings to Dan and Tara as they prepare for Jr. Only three weeks left - woot-woot!

Showers of Blessings!
Shower games.
Shower surprises! I thought this book would be a perfect addition to her collection. So did she. I noticed a copy on her nightstand on the day I arrived. Smart minds think alike...and ruin surprises!
By far the biggest hit of the party. Apparently a must-have if you have a boy!
PS: Check out her amazing maternity pictures.

Great minds DO think alike! I love that we both posted blogs about each other :). What great pictures! The pizza one looks so yummy..... again, hormones talking.
I'm so glad you had fun! We had so many great talks- I thought that was the best part! Thanks again for coming out- it meant the world to me!
PS- I'm not the only one with motherly instincts... You did a wonderful job at nursing a certain pregnant woman back to health after she gracefully fell flat on her face...
I agree about the baby boom - last week I found out two more college friends are pregnant. And you were right, her maternity pictures were beautiful!
