Weekend Warriors

About a week and a half ago we went up to Big Bear with some friends for our annual ski weekend. We've stayed at the same cabin for four years in a row now. Wow. It's hard to believe we've been in California that long! Unfortunately, this time around, the cabin's owner forgot to tell us that he no longer stocks towels for guests. Not that it mattered that much. He also forgot that the hot water heater (is that redundant?) was not working so....er...hot. So, none of us ended up taking any showers that would require the non-existent towels. But don't worry - with as much fun as we had, no one noticed the stench. Much.

Me and Dawn
Big Dave the the gals.
And now, all the boys.
Ben, in his dramatic pose. We call this Bald Steel.
The cute couple! Dan and Heather.
Fernwood Boys.
Seefood.
And more food. Just kidding. This is the remote. And I'm NOT kidding about that.
And, no weekend in the cabin would be complete without Ben in his footie pajamas. Butt flap included. What? You don't own a pair of these? We'll talk to Mary, Ben's mom. She'll hook you up. Truly - this is the gift that keeps on giving.
After Big Bear, we came home in time to host another annual tradition - the Blair Superbowl party! I didn't have as much time to prepare, but I still did a football-themed dessert...nerd alert. And we had a great turnout for a great game. Yay for food, fun, and friends! Oh, and football...commercials. :)
BFF's.
And Mia will be your BFF if you drop food on "accident."
Doing the wave.
Cheers!
Getting pretty excited at the end...
It was a full, happy weekend. I also turned in a final paper while up on the mountain. Good times, good times, right? What will life look like without yet another paper to write or yet another hoop to jump through (more on that to come)...sometimes I wonder if I'll ever know. Until then, I'll just enjoy my getaways to ghost mountain.
