So, I was going to save this post for after I finished my rough draft of my dissertation proposal (gulp!) and after I posted some more pics from our trip home, but then this came in the mail today:
I know, I know - I've got mad skills in disguising our plate number, right? Just in case the Internet has any creepsters on it. Like that's really going to keep them from tracking me down. Oh well, illusory control is beautiful! ANYWAY. "What's the big deal?" you ask. Well, I'll tell you! This itty-bitty license plate goes to...
OLIVER! Isn't he cute?! We got him last week on the same day it cost me $70 to fill up the car. Ben rides him to work everyday, so technically, he's Ben's Buddy (PS - that's the brand name of the scooter). I've only been on him once and have already manage to lay him over. Don't worry - I was only going 2.6 miles an hour and attempting to make a turn. So, it was a soft accident with no injuries to Oliver or myself. Apparently turning on a scooter is a lot like turning on skis - you have to be moving with a decent amount of speed. And if my learning curve on maneuvering skis is any indication, well...let's just say I'll let Ben give you a test dive! But don't I look cute just sitting on him?!
Now, let's all join in! "My buddy....my buddy....my buddy and me! Kid sister....kid sister....kid sister and me!"

Sweet. You could be a Buddy model. It's a good thing you got a helmet for Ben, too - you don't want him cracking that pretty bald head.
Do I get to drive it if I bring Christy out to see you guys?
You look hot!! And you guys will save a ton on gas. My father-in-law has one and it costs $6 to fill up the tank. SIX BUCKS!!
P.S.- Thanks for getting that song stuck in my head...
