Bookends

On our recent trip home we arranged our flights so that we got to spend time with some dear friends in Kansas City before we drove down to Joplin; and we scheduled a long layover in Salt Lake so we could have dinner with more lovely friends on our way home to Pasadena.

After a round of playground fun at Well's school on Thursday afternoon, we enjoyed a delicious early dinner and returned to Todd and Jessi's home to do some good old fashioned manual work.

First thing's first: Sons, don't let the car fall on your heads.
Okay! Let's get to work on this tire!
Not sure what is wrong with the tire, but these tools are sure to fix it.
And if all else fails, just pull out the hammer.
Success! The tire is jacked!
Then, on Sunday, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner (many thanks to Chef Dan!) with the Stewart's. I got to meet Spencer for the first time (outside of his momma's tummy, that is)! He is adorable and I'm so impressed with Tara and Dan - this kiddo is lucky to have such adoring parents!

Apparently this guy is always on the go. Clearly an athlete in training.
Serious Spencer. And seriously cute.
BFF! (One of us with greasy airplane hair.)
Stay tuned for *some* more pictures from the actual trip!

HOORAY! I think it's hilarious... that those lil boys are working on that tire... cause that it Caiah's FAVORITE thing to do the past few days... pick up tools... and mysteriously fix things... :) and by fix I mean bang them... and scratch them... :) it's adorable...

Looks like Handy Manny's tool skills at work... That is too cute :)

Those pictures are GREAT!!! I can't wait to show Dan. I'm so glad you guys got to come over. If it had been a few weeks later we could have had you over to our OWN place :) Next layover...

Can't wait to see ya in a few weeks!
