New Threads

When Ben started working at UCLA, he packed up the 3,582 pairs of scrubs that have served him faithfully over the past 8 years.  Since UCLA wants him to wear business casual and a lab coat, we've made a few shopping trips to replenish his [non-existent] wardrobe.  This is kind of rocking my world a bit.  On our last clothes shopping excursion, we spent more money on him than me.  That has never, ever, ever happened in our married life.   Ever.  I'm starting to worry about how this change may affect our clothing budget (since before now it was pretty much my clothing budget).  Sigh.  I guess this is the price one pays for a stylish mate.

So, all of a sudden my husband is taking an interest in how he looks.  Furthermore, he's taking an interest in how the rest of the family looks, too.  Today I came home from work to find this.    

Cute, huh?  But what would you think if I told you yesterday she was wearing a brown handkerchief?  You know, to match her eyes.  That's right folks.  My husband is playing dress up with our dog.  I'm going to warn the cats and try to prepare myself for when he starts picking out my clothes every day.

And just so you know how much I love all of you loyal readers, here is a snippet of what I went through to entertain you tonight:

Good Lord.  She has that camera again.  Maybe if I shut my eyes, she'll just go away...

And maybe if I shake my head a little...
