Motivation

The thing that kills me the most about being sick is that I got knocked off my running schedule and won't be able to go up in mileage this weekend like I have been doing.  In fact, I will probably lose miles.

I was hoping to run a half marathon in May.

We'll see.

I was just shy of 9 miles last Saturday.  And since I try to increase my miles each weekend, each weekend is a new PR for me, and at some point on each long run I think, "This is it.  This is when I die.  This is where my body stops working and I become the first person in the world to literally run her legs off."  But each weekend I manage to go a little farther.  And later, as I drown myself in Gatorade I think, "How can I possibly do more next weekend?"  But somehow I do.  And somehow I will.

Even if there is a little setback for now.

We watched this tonight.  I highly recommend it.  Thanks, Julia.

get better and get back to it girl! I think 9 miles is the most I've ever run?!?! I know you can do it... even if it's slow... you'll finish... 1/2 la marathon?

I'm thinking of doing the nike 1/2 with a group in SF in Oct... we should see if there's anything else like a 10k we could do in sept around here?

You are crazy, my friend. There is a person growing inside of you - how can you even think about training right now? How long after the due date are all of those events?

Um, "marathon" isn't included in my vocabulary. But I'm impressed with anyone that dares to run their legs off...
