Options

Ben needs to be on the West side by 5:45 am for his early shift.
I need to be at City of Hope (East of Pasadena) around 7:30 am for a testing case.

I can:

1) Get up at 4:20 am to take Ben to Union Station to catch the Red Line (Gold Line from Pasadena not running yet). Drive to City of Hope around 7 am.  Approximately $10 in public transportation/gas fees.

2) Start walking to the Metro station at 6 am.  Take the Gold Line to Madre St and then a bus to City of Hope, turning a 15 minute car ride into a 50 minute Metro/bus ride.  Ben drives to UCLA around 5 am and pays $11 to park. Approximately $22 in public transportation/parking/gas fees.

3) Buy another car.  Approximately $15,000 dollars in purchase/insurance fees.

4) Move to a different state.  Approximately priceless.

Sounds like a headache to me! Any carpooling options? I hope you work it out. If we had more than one car, we'd let you borrow one.

Buy another car!!! I like to tell people to spend more money. I feel like I am helping the economy out this way.
